Herman ik verslind haar gedichten. Ik vind haar erg goed.
De nobelprijs won ze in 1998 en waar dat interview nou
weer in stond? Nrc? Volkskrant. Zal het proberen te
achterhalen voor je.

en Engelse vertaling, (ik ken maar drie of vier woorden Pools meer) maar er
is een goedkope Nederlandse vertaling verkrijgbaar (Rainbow pockets ?). Is

Ikzelf heb een gedichtenbundel van haar van een vriendin van mij geleend.
"Zachwyt i rozpacz" - "Verrukking & wanhoop"

Vertaald door Jeannine Vereecken.
ISBN 90-5655-014-4

Ikzelf kan het niet vergelijken met het Pools, of de vertalingen in het
Frans of Engels, maar ik vind de gedichten subliem. Op de linkerpagina het
Poolse gedicht, op de rechter de vertaling.
Ik vind ze heel erg goed, maar kan geen oordeel geven over de kwaliteit van
de vertaling.

Zou het typisch Gents zijn? Franse en Engelse vertalingen gaan zoeken, als
de Nederlandse vertaling om de hoek op de toonbank ligt...

Beste Paris...waar denk je dat ik mee bezig ben dan?

Mijn eerste kennismaking was een Franse vertaling van haar bundel Zout die
ik vond
in een winkeltje in Montparnasse als ik me goed herinner. Hand in hand met
een
Frans woordenboek ben ik aan dit avontuur begonnen. Wat me erg bij is
gebleven
zijn toen de regels uh even in het Nederlands maar...er is een regendruppel
op mijn
hand gevallen, hij was gegoten uit de Ganges en de Nijl. Nou ja in die
strekking ongeveer.
Nou daarna thuis op jacht naar de vertalingen en nu bezit ik inmiddels
aardig wat van haar.

Maar op dit moment heeft ze zware concurrentie...heb nl alle uitgaven van
Poetry Internationel
van 1975 en de vertalingen in mijn bezit gekregen en ben er vreselijk blij
mee.

Beste Martijn,

Je bent geweldig. Kunnen we in iedergeval hier even het gelijk
in het recht stellen. Sorry Paris Martijn heeft gelijk. Doet Hr.
Valk toevallig iets met Meulenhoff? Zoniet zend ik de lijst wel
even door voor verdere misverstanden te voorkomen in de
toekomst.Had gewoon voor de zekerheid even boek uit kast
geplukt en daar stond het op achterzijde vermeld. 1998 werd
ze bekroond met de Nobelprijs van Literatuur. Nee, nee de
uitgever treft geen blaam...nooit zomaar iets klakkeloos
overnemen. je hebt gelijk Martijn. Is trouwens mijn mail nog
aangekomen van Waardenbergh? Nee geen dank, graag gedaan.
