Hoi,
Ik beheer een VPN server waar een bedrijf gebruik van maakt. Nu kreeg ik
een e-mail van "Vobile Compliance", blijkbaar een Amerikaans bedrijf wat
let op auteursrechten voor anderen. Blijkbaar is er via de VPN een film
gedownload. Wat is jullie mening over de juridische kant van dit geheel?
In NL is het tot nu toe heel normaal om via bittorrent af en toe een
filmpje te downloaden, ik heb nog nooit gehoord dat iemand daar
problemen mee kreeg. Zullen providers vele van dit soort berichten
krijgen en ze weggooien? Moet ik, als eigenaar van de IP range, oppassen?

de wetswijzigingen op dit gebied, en zo te zien wordt er ook niet erg
ingegaan op jouw specifieke vraag: ALS ik zo'n dreigbrief krijg van een
rechthebbende, moet ik me dan zorgen maken of kan ik die gewoon lachend
in de prullenbak gooien omdat ik lekker in Nederland zit en niet in de USA
of Duitsland?
Je zou ook eens kunnen kijken op security.nl waar Arnoud Engelfriet ook
actief is en dit soort vragen wel eens beantwoordt.
