Voor een vriendin ben ik op zoek naar een bouwplan (informatie) voor een
houtgestookte pizza oven.
Het is de bedoeling de oven buiten te bouwen.
Alvast bedankt!

A Pizza Oven
http://www.hgtv.com/HGTV/project/0,1158,GALA_project_13369,FF.html
A wood-fired brick oven can add flavor to any backyard and infuse an
ordinary pizza with an old-world Mediterranean taste. California homeowners
Dave and Howie Cort wanted an outdoor oven for baking pizzas, breads, and
even a holiday turkey. So, Landscape Smart enlisted the aid of Raison Cain,
a garden designer, and Alan Scott, an oven craftsman who has built hundreds
of outdoor ovens.

Butera Oven Diary

Desc: My husband, Joe, and I had been talking about building a brick oven
in our back yard for several years before we finally found the plans. The
plans we used are from Ovencrafters. Some of our “Brick Oven Diary” comes
directly from letters to Alan Scott, some from my personal journal, plus
notes, receipts and sketches we kept while building the oven. We hope they
can be a help to those of you preparing to build your own oven. If you have
any questions or need more details please feel free to contact me.
OVENCRAFTERS - Catalog
http://shell10.ba.best.com/~ovncraft/catalog.htm#cat
Desc: OVEN PLANS AND BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS
The oven plans in this catalog have evolved over the past fifteen years to
meet the needs of today's baker/builder out of my personal experiences
researching, baking, building and conducting dozens of hands-on oven
raising workshops. Hundreds of these ovens have been built to these plans
by now, by professionals and amateurs alike, with my efforts alone
contributing to well over eighty.
Most designs draw from eighteenth century brick ovens, which reached a peak
of development before mass production of cast iron ranges for the home, and
the industrialization of bread baking forced compromises and detrimental
changes to the way bread was baked.

Various foods can be cooked in the oven such as, Pizza, Calzone,
Strombolli, and any other baked dishes such as Lasagna, fish, casseroles as
well as roasting vegetables, garlic and stone hearth breads. Cooking on the
top surface of the oven is not possible, as surface temperatures do not
exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the top surface of the oven
provides an excellent warming area for foods wishing to be kept warm.

Notes: Cain advises keeping fire safety in mind when building a pizza
oven. Avoid placing it near a building or vegetation that could pose a fire
hazard. Keep the area clear of any combustible materials, and check with
your fire department about local regulations.
Cain estimates that a professional would charge $4,000 to build an outdoor
oven, but do-it-yourselfers can buy materials for around $800. He rates
this project a 5 on a difficulty scale of 1 (easy) to 5 (difficult) because
basic masonry skills are needed. The project would take about three
weekends to complete with the help of friends.

Is dat niet te snel (te heet?) ? Ik ben een nitwit op pizzabakgebied, maar
komen sommige ingredienten niet beter tot hun recht als ze wat langer de
tijd krijgen?
Bedankt!
