Vraagje: ik heb de digitale camera van mijn zwager hier naast me
staan.(zie onderwerp) Ik krijg hem niet aan de praat ---> ik bedoel hij
communiceert niet met m'n G4. Al op het web gekeken maar daar blijkt dat
tie niet wordt ondersteund.
Wellicht weet iemand van jullie hem op 1 of andere manier toch in
"leven" te brengen ...althans dat hoop ik.

geen idee wat een flashcard reader is.
Software matig of is het een apparaatje?
in ieder geval bedankt.

Hoi Bert,
nou dan weet ik dat dus ook weer. maar aangezien het alleen om "even te
proberen" was komt het er niet van. Als de cam van mezelf was is het een
ander verhaal natuurlijk en had ik een mac compatible aangeschaft.

DISCUSSION Mac OS X 10.2.4/ Compact Flash Card Does Not Appear in the
Finder
Symptom
A Compact Flash card in a digital camera or card reader connected to the
computer is available to iPhoto and Image capture, but does not appear
in the Finder.
Products affected
Mac OS X 10.2.4
Solution
An invisible file in the /Volumes directory is preventing the card from
appearing in the Finder. Delete this file to make the card appear.
Warning : This document describes how to delete an invisible file by
entering commands in the Terminal application. If you are unfamiliar
with Terminal and UNIX-like environments, you should proceed with
caution. Entering commands incorrectly may result in data loss and/or
unusable system software.
1. Insert the Compact Flash card in the camera or card reader.
2. Connect the camera or card reader to the computer.
3. Open iPhoto or Image Capture to verify that the Compact Flash card is
recognized by one of those applications.
4. Open the Terminal application.
5. Type the following command: ls -a /Volumes
This command lists the contents of the /Volumes directory.
Example: The directory should looks something like this:
. .. .DS_Store ._Unlabeled Unlabeled
In this example, the file named ._Unlabeled is the invisible file
preventing the Compact Flash card named Unlabeled from appearing in the
Finder. The files in your /Volumes directory may be named something
else, but look for two nearly identical volume names with one having the
addition of ._ at the beginning of the file name.
6. Type sudo rm filename in the terminal to remove the file. Replace
filename with the name of the Compact Flash card that begins with "._".
Example: Using the files from the example in step 5, type the following
in Terminal: rm ._Unlabeled
7. Press Return.
8. Type your administrator account password when prompted.
9. Type diskutil unmount diskname in the terminal to eject the Compact
Flash card from the file system. Replace diskname with the name of the
Compact Flash card.
10. Remove the Compact Flash card from the reader or disconnect the
camera from the computer.
11. Reinsert the Compact Flash card or reconnect the camera.
Your Compact Flash card will now appear in the Finder as usual.
