To: Area/district servants, chapter servants, Family Ministry coordinators HFL,
SvFL, YM (SFL, YFL, KFL) and other coordinators
Subject: Additional pastoral guidelines re: speakers for CLS, assemblies, workshops,
teachings and conferences.
Dear co-servants in Christ,
Anent to the guidelines prepared for the selection of
speakers for conferences, below are guidelines in selecting and empowering a
speaker for CLSs, assemblies, workshops, teachings
and conferences:
1) The proposed speaker and sharers
should be a member of CFC FFL.
2) The speaker should at least be a
household servant and up or coordinator.
3) The speaker should have been with
the community for one (1) year or more and should be familiar with the life,
mission and vision of CFC FFL.
4) The speaker should be living out
the talk or in the process of living it out.
5) The speaker should follow the
talk outline and contents.
Exceptions to the above are the
following:
1) Priests can give a talk on any of the above but should follow as much as possible
the talk outlines.
2) Pro-Life talks may be allowed
even though they are not members of the community but belong to organizations
recognized by the Catholic Church.
The above guidelines apply to all
ministries: CFC FFL (couples), HFL (handmaids), SvFL (servants), SFL (singles),
YFL (youth) and KFL (kids).
We are issuing this letter to
clarify a grey area that sometimes creates unnecessary discussions among our
leaders when identifying speakers for various CFCFFL official functions.
It has been customary to appoint
speakers in our functions from within our pool of concurrent leaders and known
speakers. Although there has not been a concrete rule, we simply just
follow this tradition because we know that these leaders can share whatever
transformation they may have undergone in the community for everyone to compare
or relate as they make their own journey.
Please
cascade this letter to your flock and let us all continue to move strongly
forward with fraternal love and unity in the life and mission of CFC-FFL.
Please be guided accordingly.
In Christ,
Bro. Ed Yamba
