Hey everyone,
I just signed an open letter to President Obama asking him to consider active peace making in Afghanistan instead of the limited choices of counter insurgency or counter terrorism, although both of those are involved.  This letter has been signed by religious leaders from all over the country including Vineyard's own Rich Nathan right near the top.
I would encourage you to read the letter and sign if you think this is a better way forward.

Genuine Christian love is forged against the anvil of our selfishness and possessiveness
... It is important to remember that love is more than a feeling. It is active and transitive. The real test of my loving is not that I feel loving, but that the other person feels loved by me. Love is what I do to create this sense of feeling cared for.
