Guys,

Excellent game today! Apart from the two sensational innings that we were lucky enough to watch, everyone else gave their best and in the end it was a great team effort!

Lets keep improving by learning from mistakes and try to hone our skills in practice sessions.

Looking forward to another good practice session on Thursday. Hope to see you all then.

Guys : I am really very happy with team commitment and we are turning into an awesome team ,having 14 guys for practice is best thing for any team, which is definitely improving our on field communication, and overall game. we are (15 Members  +1 Guest) team and if everyone keeps  promise of being committed we can keep the number to 15 so that everyone gets to play and perform ( we have 21 more games before playoffs) , as we are 15 , we will need to keep rotating everyone according to situation and availability so that everyone gets equal opportunity as well we compete to our best, i will make sure everyone gets enough opportunity but as we are 15 someone will have to become scorer and strategist  and  (:):)) if more than 11 are available at any point , i hope you guys understand and wont have any problem with rotation policy. If possible everyone should attend game even though they are not playing as it's a big support for others.

My 2 cents……  

As  we are going to play against good team, it is very important to place fielders at right place.. for example.. mid- on, long- off, long- on and mid -wicket  will be critical..

so whoever is placed at this position , not only he should have to take direct catches but also to run and convert lofted shots in to catches….

Unfortunately we are dropping catches directly coming into hand….that is also because, in  practice session we are only concentrating in batting and bowling….

 

I saw in the last match…during  first part of the innings.. sandy was placed near point to save singles –rather than fielding at mid wicket???

Any way my intention is not to pin-point  but  to make thing better..

Vishal, I pulled a muscle in my right leg during the practice last night and its hurting real bad right now. I am hoping it recovers in time for the Sunday match, but if not, please have a replacement player in mind. I will let you know tomorrow how the recovery is coming along. 

Since we have a good size team with good players, I don't want us to play 10.5 (considering I am not 100% recovered)

Very good point Itban and we should definitely try to improve this game, But as we only practice  once week for hr and half we tend to give more importance to bowling and batting, team let try to be little early on ground this game and do fielding practice,  as well tell us your suggestions for fielding positions.
