The Rowan University Intramural Sports Department welcomes any student official interested in becoming a bettter basketball official. For the 4th year in a row, we have been fortunate to host an educational and hands-on clinic with the help of some great professional and student clinicians.
We have developed over 100 student officials from various institutions in the region on proper officiating procedures and mechanics and hope you take this opportunity to enhance your student referees' basketball officiating knowledge.
*Deadline to register is Tuesday, January 29th
Each official will receive a fox40 whistle, lanyard, and a lunch. All attendees will receive group and individual instruction and feedback.
Overview:
This basketball clinic will focus on the proper mechanics of officiating basketball. Although rules knowledge is essential to knowing basketball officiating, the focus of this clinic is knowing where to go, how to communicate with fellow officials and players, and what mechanics will help to insure a great foundation to officiating in your intramural basketball season.
2-person mechanics will be reviewed in the classroom as well as on the court. Individuals interested in learning 3-person mechanics may ask for instruction.
Each official that registers by the deadline will be guaranteed a full game to officiate, with evaluation from qualified clinicians/evaluators. The clinic is limited to the first 36 students registered to insure personalized instruction. The clinic will run from 9am - 5pm.
Cost is $25 per official

Dear Intramural Directors and Dodgeball Captains,
The Northeast Regional Dodgeball Tournament at Rowan University will be on Saturday, December 1st. Early bird registration deadline and fee of $70 per team needs to be postmarked by November 23rd. The cost after that deadline will be $85 per team on November 24th and thereafter.
This tournament is not just for institutions in Region I. Any teams are welcome!
This is the 3rd year of this event and looks to be as exciting as ever! The trophies for this year’s tournament will be 4 feet tall! Champion and Runner up shirts will also be available, as well as Tournament MVP’s, and Staff shirts for those volunteering to help.
The same tournament format as last year and you can play in both a male or female team and a co-rec team. In order to have a Division at least 4 teams need to be registered for the event.
Divisions available include: Men's, Women's and Co-Rec.
All information regarding registration, hotel accommodations, travel, directions, and tournament rules and regulations are on the website.
