[Fwd: Rider Recreation Collegiate Golf Tournament]

Dear Fellow Recreation Professional,

I would like to invite your institution to participate in The 1st Annual Rider Recreation Collegiate Golf Tournament, hosted by Rider University and sponsored by the Collegiate Golf Alliance. This year's tournament is slated for Friday, September 28th, 2007 at the beautiful Mercer Oaks Golf Course in Mercer County New Jersey. Teams will compete in a two person scramble format in either the student or the faculty/staff division, teeing off at 1pm. Prizes range from greens fee coupons and practice balls, to free club certificates and golf apparel. The winners in each division will be invited to participate in the National Collegiate Golf Championship in November, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The cost (which is still being negotiated but will most likely be $50 or less) includes greens fee, cart, prizes, and reception including food and beverages after the outing. Please feel free to subsidize your student cost as you see fit.

I urge you to include the Tournament in your Fall Intramural/Special Events calendar as an event such as this provides students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to connect and network with folks from other institutions in the area. Having participated in CGA qualifying tournaments in the past, I can honestly say they are a great day of golf and fun for all, whether you are an avid golfer or coming out to the course for the first time.  <>
