Regional Basketball Officials Clinic at Rowan University on Saturday, January 27th

Want to get a jump start on your student officials training in basketball?  Send them to the 3^rd annual Regional Basketball Clinic at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ on Saturday, January 27^th.  With over 90 students attending the past 2 years, the clinic has been very successful in teaching the proper mechanics of officiating 5 on 5 basketball.

Cost will be $20 per student by the registration deadline (Tuesday, January 23^rd) with payment and registration turned in.  If forms and payments are not submitted by the deadline, the cost will be $25/student.  The forms may be mailed or faxed to:

We are looking to cap the clinic to the first 36 students registered and we will be looking for clinicians to help with the day.  We’ve had some great clinicians (collegiate and high school certified) in the past and there is also an opportunity for GA’s or students that have officiated in a Regional/Extramural tournament to help with the clinic.  Individuals with high school experience preferred.  Contact Kevin George if interested at 856-256-4927 or geo...@rowan.edu.

 

Check-in will be on the Saturday from 8:30am – 9:30am.  Each official will receive a Fox40 whistle & lanyard, as well a light breakfast and a lunch.  Registered student officials will get in-the-class instruction, on-court training, and at least 1 basketball game, where they will be evaluated and given feedback.  Each student needs to wear black shorts/pants and athletic footwear.  Stripes also should be brought, but if the students are unable to supply them, they may be checked out from our intramural department.
