Has anyone been able to open this file? I try downloading it but it just gives me a download file not the real file and it will not open.

Hi Jesus,
I tried downloading the file and didn't run into any problems. A couple
of questions:

1. Are you using a Mac or PC? If the former, this is an open source chm
reader: http://chmox.sourceforge.net/. It should open by default on a
PC as long as you have office.
2. What is the size of the 'download file?' Is it 1KB or 234MB? If its
234MB, you just need to refer to the above to open it. If its 1KB, you
might not have downloaded it correctly. The link I gave you can't be
right clicked on and saved. Direct your broswer to the link and you
will be asked to sign in to Google Docs first (if you hadn't already).
Google will then try to first scan the link (the file) for for viruses.
Google will not do the scan due the file's size and then you are given a
new page with a download link labeled 'Download Anyway.' Unfortunately,
there isn't a direct link to download the file but the file is still
available for download.

Jesus,

I ran into the same issue. 

1) Make sure to rename the file extension from .download to .chm. 

2) The CHM viewer built into windows wasn't reading the file properly for me, so i tried another CHM reader program-- that worked. I got mine from:

http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Web_Authoring/HTML_Editors__A-G_/ABC_Amber_CHM_Viewer_Download.html

but there are probably better viewers out there (yet this one did work), just do a google search.

Great post Mike. Another .chm reader is an extension for firefox. I
like it because you can search for terms really quickly.

The firefox one wouldn't open the file neither...for me at least. I wish it did though because it seems like a better option than the one i provided. No idea why it doesn't work though lol.

I'm sorry to hear that Mike. Since people seem to be having trouble
opening or using the .chm file I took down the .chm file and instead put
up two pdf files. This one is the intro chapter which describes
orientation and the basics of the nervous system:

I'm sure everyone knows how to use open/search/etc a pdf but don't
hesitate to ask for help if you need it. The only caveat is some of the
tables are cut off in the last column. I don't think this will be an
issue because if I remember correctly the TAs focused most of their
questions on blue box material.
