Each year, Human Rights for Kids evaluates how well each state protects the rights of children in their criminal justice systems. Through 12 categories of protections, we identify improvements, bring light to the worst human rights offenders, and track legislative trends regarding the rights of children.
During this year’s launch event, we’ll be focusing on how legislative successes around the country can create a blueprint for protecting the rights of our children.
During the one-hour event, we’ll hear from legislators who successfully championed reforms in 2025, including Hawaii Senator Mike Gabbard (D), Vermont Representative Barbara Rachelson (D), and Arkansas Senator Missy Irvin (R), along with other speakers from Human Rights for Kids and our partners at The Just Trust.
