Good morning all,
We wanted to circulate the attached EMLER report in case folks we're interested in jointly submitting alongside HRFK. The submission is due next Friday so we have a bit more time then we did with the UPR.
This report is singularly focused on the treatment of Black children in the U.S. criminal justice system. Given the limited word count, we tried to fit as much as we could to give a powerful overview of how the system negatively impacts Black children and how their treatment is a part of a lineage of racism that can be traced back to slavery. It pulls from a lot of themes we touched on in our Crimes Against Humanity Report.
If you would like to be a joint author, please respond via email with a copy of your organization's logo. We'll give folks until COB next Wednesday to respond. Thanks!
James
