All,
Ok here is the first version of the paper. Overall I think we are about 70% of the way there. I put my feedback for each section in the comment fields.
Executive Summary - Wayne
To be worked on this week
Background and Overview - Jeff
At times too conversational I can't decide which line is my favorite, "heavy weights on the scene" or "no holds barred". Need I say more?
Can we work to tighten up the langauge?
Also please break your part down into two parts.
1. Background of Boeing pre-777
2. Project Initiation - Explain the criteria for initiating the project as well as what project initiation is
Project Management Successes - Gus
Overall good job especially explaining the project management concepts. Let's tighten up the intro. Your section needs to be upbeat. You want to introduce your three points that you are going to cover. I took the liberty of adding some headings. When you re-read your section keep an eye on overall writing style, i.e. introduction leads to clear and thorough thought to a conclusion.
Project Management Challenges - Wayne
First draft for me. Please feedback in the comment section of the document.
Analysis and Outcome of Project - Joe
Joe your section could work as a semi bulleted list. Please take the list and elaborate more on some of the topics. Also you need a powerful introduction.
Can we get the chart from 101 in your section. It certainly is a result of the project. Also you could use some facts from the conclusion.
Reuse of 777 Project Management Principals - Nandi
Nandi I like the research you have here on the 787 however do you think we could focus on re-use of project management principals or parts of the 777 project? I thought I read throughout the case study that Boeing re-used things like 777 wing design and engines? Not sure if you found anything about re-use in other projects throughout the paper. Overall I think your section could be lighter and less detailed if you had more examples. Also if your section is light you could concentrate on wrapping everything up by writing the conclusion.
Conclusion - Nandi
Nandi maybe you could write this?
Let's all collectively have one more stab at the content. I will make final corrections next weekend so we are ready for the following Wednesday.
