The National convention is now just two weeks away. Who's going?
Anyone going to the Fighter Factory BBQ on Thursday night?

Hi,

Yep, I'll be there with my family. I have been going ever since the
Phoenix Nats.
I hopefully should be arriving Wed. afternoon, and will be there til
Saturday - once again I goofed
the departure date by leaving Saturday rather than Sunday.

I won't make the BBQ tho, as an online model building group the Space
Modelers Group, is having their
dinner on Thursday night. As you may guessed we are the bunch of guys
that build the tiniest of modeling niches - real space models
mostly from scratch (we will also have a sig table).
[plug mode on] But we do have 2 group seminars during the Nats - look
for Mike Mackowski's seminars. Also another member of our group
Mat Irvine from his special effects days at the BBC and 2 modeling
books will be giving a space seminar in case someone would like to
see what building space is all about. [plug mode off] ;-)

Excellent!  You, of course, will be assigned to shoot the Spacecraft and Sci-Fi categories, as well as shooting pics of your Sig Table, the seminars by Matt and Mike, and other pics that reflect well upon the Space area. We need all the exposure we can provide.
