Dear PILLARS of 5th Pillar,

Thank you all for the support so far in various ways for the last 7 years of 5th Pillar's ground work!

5th Pillar has for the first time set foot into the fund-raiser effort in Chennai itself, since our last Washington concert did not break even. 

The same Lakshman Sruthi troupe has offered us a second chance at a very low cost considering their actual India side fees. 

We want to make the best use of this concert and raise money for 5th Pillar's monthly overheads and operational costs for 1 year.

(Disclaimer: It is a Tamil concert, but why Hindi title? 

It is to reflect the mood of the freedom fighters sacrifice, so titled like that on basis of the Bhagat Singh film that captured the imagination of the youth)

We need to sell 3000 tickets to fill the auditorium, and at least raise the maximum target of 24 lakhs. This was arrived at by using this formula-

3000 tickets = 60 volunteers selling a packet of 50 tickets each(divided into 5 denominations, as below)

12 tickets x Rs 250 

22 tickets x Rs 500

11 tickets x Rs 1000 

04 tickets x Rs 2500 

01 ticket   x Rs 5000

50 tickets    Rs.40,000

1. Each volunteer here in India, is being given out a packet containing 50 tickets each broken down like above. 

2. A volunteer's target is to raise Rs.40,000 out of this packet. (8 volunteers have already committed that they will raise their individual target).

3. The total target is Rs.24 lakhs. 

NRIs also can join the fun, donate towards a packet of 50 tickets either wholly, or by forming a group of 5 or 10 people donating the fraction. You can either sponsor those tickets for your friends and family in Chennai and elsewhere in India. Or, you can donate the ticket to students or any individual who cannot afford a ticket, but wants to be part of this concert and the launch of 'School of Democracy' on that day.
