The result will mainly be that mentally ill persons will avoid getting
treatment.
which government are you talking about ,
where i live most people can't just buy a gun already ,
and not just the ones with mental health issues ,
besides if you aren't planning on shooting something ,
what do you need a gun for
I wasn't aware homicidal maniac was a clinical diagnosis either.

Anorexics won't be able to go deer hunting.
nor will people with buck agar
Doesn't surprise me in the least. It's the kind of daftness I've learnt to
expect from America.
What exactly are the jobs and activities they want to ban mentally ill
people from? (Apart from shooting things!)

Buck agar sounds like a terrible condition. Glad we don't have it in
America.
And who is They?
Tree wizard, too.
You don't NEED most freedoms, but they are important to people. But
people who own guns use them for target shooting, skeet & trap shooting,
collecting, personal protection...It dosn't mean they're planning on
killing anyone.
If you check the reference and look up some links, you'll find that
everything the OP posted is perfectly true. And that's not counting
what new restrictions will be placed on the "mentally ill" in the
future. The problem is that really dangerous mentally ill people (who
comprise probably 1% of those with mental illness) are lumped in with
people with eating disorders, depression, phobias, etc., who comprise
the great majority of the mentally ill.
And it's already a major problem getting those with mental illness to
seek treatment because of the stigma involved.

Nothing the OP said is even remotely true or backed up by the article that
was posted.
You must be as ignorant as he is.

Also not fucking sited by the posted article. The article is about a bill to
accommodate better tracking of people who are banned from owning firearms.
The ONLY mentally ill that it mentions are the INVOLUNTARILY committed.
Don't make shit up.
well first you have to have deer so america is out right off
And who is They?
the guys that them are always looking at
Guns are fun to target shoot. Note that the increase in crime is not
caused by more availability of guns. Much of crime is caused by lice
who have been programmed to be violent by the hip-hoopster media where
women are bitches and I've got your back fool. We're thoiteen but we
gonna light you up mofo. See we don't. You feel me?
scientology and its front groups offer no help to those who have suffered
stigmatization or abuses because of mental illness. I contacted them
about a case where someone was involuntarily committed for depression and
forced to pay for it themselves, forced to pay
for Niacin Drug Cocktails, join the cult, and sentenced to their prison.
Theirresponse was the standard establishment line about how they would solve
all your problems after you fork over all your money.

Unfortunately, abuses in involuntary admission are extremely common. I
worked in this and related fields for 30 years before retiring last
year, and saw many instances of this and other abuses in hospitals and
biomedical facilities. But aside from my own experience, many
independent studies and investigations (including a Congressional
investigation) have uncovered the same thing. See, for example:
http://www.antipsychiatry.org/unjustif.htm
http://www.cchr.org/take_action/report_psychiatric_abuse.html
But I think the main point, as someone pointed out, is that we should
distinguish among the mentally ill: Those with eating disorders or
depression are hardly in the same category as dangerous, potentially
violent persons. The overwhelming majority of the mentally ill are not
dangerous or violent. Laws that place special restrictions on the
"mentally ill" will mainly discourage those with a mental illness from
seeking treatment, which is already a serious problem.

will clear the planet of you if you go anywhere near mental health clinics
that are not scientology prison camps.
