The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness along with the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management will be sponsoring
deliveries of a five-day training course titled: L0449/MGT406- Incident Command System Curricula Train-the-Trainer. The courses will be facilitated by The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium
(NDPC). There is no-cost to attend this course.
Description:
This course expands and improves upon students' ability to deliver EMI Incident Command System (ICS) curricula. Students are provided training on the delivery of: ICS-100 Introduction to the ICS, ICS-200 ICS for Single Resource and Initial Action Incidents,
ICS-300 Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents, ICS-400 Advanced Incident Command System for Complex Incidents, ICS-402 ICS Overview for Executives and Senior Officials, and G0191 Emergency Operations Center/ICS Interface. Emphasis is
placed on classroom-based deliveries. This includes compliance with the National Incident Management Training Program, course activities, pre/post-testing, and ICS training program management. Students will perform a teach-back of an assigned unit from the
ICS core curriculum as part of the course. Teach-backs will be conducted as part of the assessment of instructor competence.
Audience:
Participants who have a working knowledge of ICS through experience and training ,and have experience delivering adult training. Participants must have worked as Incident Command, Command or General Staff positions on incidents, planned events, or exercises
that were active for multiple operational periods or involved a written action plan, and involved multi-agency coordination.

• ICS 100.C: Introduction to ICS (2018 version)
• ICS 200.C: ICS for Single Resource and Initial Action Incidents (2018 version)
• ICS 300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (2019 version)
• ICS 400: Advanced ICS for Complex Incidents (2019 version)
• ICS 700.B: Intro to NIMS (latest version)
• ICS 800.C: National Response Framework, An Intro (latest version)
• G0191: EOC/ICS Interface
• Formal instructor training (list below or an equivalent training) is required:
- M-410
- National Wildland Coordinating Group Facilitative Instructor
- Fire Instructor 1 & 2 College, private industry
- E-141 Instructional Presentation and Evaluation Skills
- Office for Domestic Preparedness Instructor Course
- Valid teaching certificate or equivalent
• A written statement indicating how you meet the requirements described in the Target Audience Section (ICS position on incidents, planned events or exercises that were active for
multiple operational periods or written IAP, as well as, instructor experience)
***Participants may not miss more than 10% of the instruction and activities to receive a certificate (no more than 3.5
hours). Participants will be required to bring a laptop, tablet, or suitable device to access on-line testing links and conduct assigned presentations***
