The U.S. Fire Administration's (USFA) National Fire Academy (NFA) has vacancies for its R0254 Special Operations Program Management and Leadership course held on January 11-16, 2026, at the NETC Campus in Emmitsburg, MD.
This is a 6-day course. Using activities and scenarios, you will manage and lead special operations programs. You will determine community needs and develop and sustain capabilities to meet them. Where appropriate, this course aligns with the NFPA 475 and other industry standards.
It is highly recommended that individuals have completed Q0696 Introduction to Application of Data for Fire and Emergency Services, Q0758 Cost Recovery for Emergency Incidents and Q0880 Management Tools for Emergency Services Leaders, all available through NFA Online, prior to attending this course.

- Obtain electronic approval from the head of your sponsoring organization.
- Do not plan to participate in a course until the Admissions office has notified you in writing.
