The Future of Leadership
The IAFC Officer Development Program (ODP), Leadership Development Certification Series (ODP-LDCS), is a higher education partnership between the IAFC and Columbia Southern University (CSU). The ODP-LDCS offers three program levels of officer development certification designed to develop the skills and knowledge of Company Officers, Chief Officers, and Executive Chief Officers.
Each program level consists of three courses delivered by qualified CSU faculty members. Each course provides eight units of instruction and one undergraduate college credit upon successful examination. Upon successfully completing each program level, students are eligible to receive three undergraduate college credits into a CSU degree program.
Courses can be 100% online or a hybrid of online and on-site at IAFC Fire-Rescue International (FRI) and through IAFC Division and State regional delivery programs. Each course requires successful completion of an online examination. Successful completion of each IAFC ODP-LDCS program level requires successful completion of all three courses.
Secure your spot in ODP at Fire Rescue International when registration opens in a few weeks. This year you will pre-register as part of your FRI Registration for a greater impact. Come learn, experience , and share with your peers, at the in-person classes. Registration is a $50 administrative fee which enrolls you in the CSU program for your college credits.
