[Blog post] Channel changing in Nix

Hi all,

I have started to blog more on Nix & related ecosystem. I want to
share my most recent post on time traveling with Nixpkgs channels. I
look back on the past channels & how well they work on newer systems.
Hopefully, it will be useful to many! Feedback on these is very much
appreciated. I also provide an RSS feed if you are interested in
following it.

Nice archeology!

I think that hello isn't available in old nixos-XX channels simply because years ago nixpkgs and nixos were different repos. Special attribute `pkgs` was used to refer to nixpkgs from nixos

$ nix run -f channels.nix aardvark.pkgs.hello -c hello
[3 copied (34.9 MiB), 11.1 MiB DL]
Hello, world!

We also have https://planet.nixos.org/ where you could get your blog onto. Not sure what the process is to add a new RSS feed to it though.
