fcitx trouble: select local input method: no local input method

Hi,

I would like to write in Japanese from my qwerty/azerty keyboards. I've successfully setup a fcitx installation on Ubuntu and tries to do the same on nixos.
Problem is when fcitx is launched, every time I type the space key, the selection method dialog pops up saying French and US keyboards are not available.

I don't know how to fix tis.

When I run $ fcitx-configtool, there are no input methods available, most likely because of these errors:

I guess I miss some needed services ? Also according to my online researches, the message in fcitx-diagnose (enclosed) "Cannot find immodules cache for gtk 3" could also be a problem even though some cache seem to exist:

I've not been able to fix the problem yet but at least I think I know why it doesn't work:

I am not sure how to properly fix it (or the ratio upstream vs nixos changes).

I am surprised no one else reported the problem before.
