To those on nix-dev:

I recently sent an extremely inappropriate email to this list by
mistake. With the stress of recent developments, some hyperbolic
blowing off of steam was taking place and (thanks Gmail!) this list
got cc'd inadvertently. I offer my deepest apologies and will take
this as a sign to reflect on the importance of professionalism in both
public and private communication henceforth. In an effort to feel
better about an unfortunate situation, we made light of the
contributions of two incredibly prolific and helpful individuals who
did not deserve it.

Again, I apologize for my unprofessional behavior.

moment we later regret, won't be the last. Lord knows I'm guilty of
