This is a relatively new site, but it's being run by someone with over a thousand hits on his site every day, so it may take off quickly.

The idea is to trade reviews, honest ones, with other indie authors in your genre:

So you can post your book, with a cover, description and author bio, and the site fields review requests and offers so you only have to respond to the ones you're interested in.

If anyone tries it, let me know, and I'll post more when I try it.

I tried it. When opening one of the sites this guy comes on too pushy. I'll pass on this one. But there are fairly good sites I've clicked to. By the way, I'm not an Indie author--self-publishing--my current book and those to follow --on behalf of my literary agency--through traditional publishing.

I never said you were an indie author...

Ron I'm not sure I understand. Are you self publishing or traditional?

Andy, the three books are through traditional publishing.

The word you may want here is ‘hybrid’.

More and more authors these days are pursuing multiple angles of publishing after all, with one foot in self-pub and one foot in traditional pub. ‘Hybrid’ is what I’ve been calling myself, since I’ve got both self-pubbed work and a trilogy with Carina as well. This is the term I’ve seen on the various pub-related blogs and twitter accounts I follow.

I decided to check them out by dropping three of mine on there to see what happens.   I'll keep everyone informed.   This could be a very useful site if it turns out popular and well run.

Thanks, Amber, tips can be beneficial.

Hmmm...

I did some digging around on Blurbtrade and found that the link used to contact another author evidently doesn't work.   (The screen goes gray, but no pop-up or anything else.)   I tried to contact the site owner, but their e-mail link is scrambled, the Java code is showing, but no fill-ins or buttons.   So it appears there is no way to use this site and no way to contact them to tell them.   If anyone can figure out a way to do so, please let them know.   Sad.

Amber, not everything works as anticipated. I've tried unsuccessfully to open sites which you think would link or open but don't.

Bob, like you I was able to post my book for blurbtrade, but not able to apply to anyone else's or use the contact page.  The site was started by Derek Murphy of Creativindie.com, so I'm contacting him to let him know the problems, with screencaps.  Will report back when I know more.
