When I try and start Maya, both the launcher (see pic below) and Output Window open, but I'm unable to sign in to activate the product. As soon as I click "Sign in with your Autodesk ID," the launcher closes and nothing happens. I've tried reopening Maya and the same thing happens over and over again.
I have the same problem but i did all of the steps and no luck, help. I installed maya 2024 a few months ago with success, then decided to Uninstall a while ago but then reinstall it. Now this time I can't login, I tried every solution and none worked. I can't even login in autodesk access
I'm relatively new to Maya, with only just a few months of experience in the program, however I am currently attempting to figure out a way to, as the title says, recreate a rig in Maya. The rig in Blender uses a spline IK, along with some child-of constraints, to help with the feel I want with it. With the rig's arm being somewhat rope-like in the way it moves.
While my current attempt iat recreating this in Maya has been met with relative success, I have found I am unable to control the curve as easily as I could in Blender, with the control bones in Blender moving more in line with the rig, than the bones in Maya might. Again, I was wondering how I might recreate this behavior.
So what I want is, that when I'm working on a project and have multiple windows or panels open (I'm not sure about the right term) like the Graph Editor or Hypershade, I don't want them to come back, when I reopen Maya. The reason I want this is, whenever I have the Graph Editor opened up on my second monitor, reopening Maya will immediately cause to an freeze and I can do nothing then killing it in Task Manager. In order to make it work again I have to delete the pref folder and everything gets resetted and I have to be careful, not to close Maya with opened up windows on the second monitor. There is already a topic with this issue:
I once had this problem and did everything they mentioned in that topic. Reinstalled my GPU driver with DDU, reinstalled Maya several times, also different versions, uninstalled the Desktop Manager, changed default viewport and so forth.. The only solution for me was to reinstall Windows. After like two months, it's happening again. I don't want to reinstall Windows again.. It's really frustrating... So I thought, if i could prevent Maya to open the windows from the last session, I might win.
So I have just started using Maya (2017) today and I know some of the basics, how to navigate, zoom in/out and pan. But I'm unable to pan because my computer has a left mouse and a right mouse, but no middle mouse. I heard that you are able to get into Maya's settings and make it so that there can be a keyboard shortcut so you will be able to pan without having to use the middle mouse on your computer, but I do not know how to even get into settings, let alone get into the keyboard shortcuts window. If someone can help me that would be great, thank you.
I have a similar problem but with a wacom tablet whose pen only has one button. Took me a while but I finally found a workaround that, while not ideal, works perfectly for me. Should help mouseless peeps too (do get a mouse instead though if you can)
I pan by emulating the middle mouse by holding down e
