About the Meeting Time

Dear all,

I heard from our advisor that some of you have evening classes on Monday, so I would like to ask that how many of you would prefer to change the regular meeting time to Tuesday? And how many of you prefer to keep it on Monday?

Our next meeting will still be on Monday, but according to your answers, we may change the meeting day. So please state your preference here.

Hello NIULUG,

I couldn't make it to the meeting today because I was sharing my car
with a family member (an unusual thing), but Monday is better for me
because my Tuesdays are very busy. Other than that, Thursdays are no
good because I have IEEE at 5:30.

This is a smart classroom, so I have to be there to let everyone in and throw
everyone out. ;). In general, this shouldn't be a problem.

Now we got our room, but it's already Tuesday, and I probably need a
whole day to print the posters, get the permissions, and post them
everywhere... Then this gives students only 3 days to see the posters
and change their schedules. So, I think we can move our first meet to
Feb 7. At the same time, we can also keep away from the bad weather.

An important thing is, who is going to give the talk on our first
meeting? It seems that my speech always makes people sleepy. So if
it's possible, I hope Christopher (if you are still in DeKalb) or our
adviser can prepare a speak. I hope this did not bother you...

Sorry to delay responding to this.

I can talk on the 7th if that works out with everyone. I'm giving a
talk at PyCon this year on Blender's Python API, so I'd like to test my
presentation with this group first. But before that, I should give a
talk on Blender generally.

How does everyone feel about an "Intro to 3d graphics with blender"
talk? Might even be able to get some non-free and open source software
types to come to that talk with a sweet poster ;)
