Hi all,
As a part of Software Freedom Day 2011, we'll be having a video conference with Renaud Gaudin, from the Kiwix project. This is a small blurb about himself.
He writes,
"
I am French, now Malian. Have been in Mali for
6years, working on adapting technologies to the West African conditions.
I am mostly a software developer. I developed "moulin" the first
Offline WP reader in French then in Farsi and Arabic. I developed
LaSource a "kiosk" made out of spare computer parts and wood which
provides distribution of free software and movies to anybody with a USB
stick. Now we are working on the Kiwix Plug, a WiFi hotspot with Kiwix." He is going to be talking about:
- Kiwix - The aim of the project.
- OpenZIM - How is Kiwix related to OpenZIM?
- How you can start hacking on Kiwix.
- Steps to take over the world.
The event will be at 19:00 at the Main Seminar Hall on Saturday, the 1st of October.
Hope to see you there!
