Hey,
I've been working with Security Research for more than six months now. It's an initiative by an alumnus of NITK who worked in Mircrosoft and had worked as adjunct faculty in our department till recently. It is supported and maintained by people studying in NITK and who graduated from here, mostly in the recent years. The concept is there is more to life than just marks and a good job. Here is the excerpt

Security Research is now a full-fledged community surviving purely on volunteer contributions. We could not have done it without your active support. For the year 2012-13 we are looking forward to fill in volunteers to the Security Research Community and we'd like to help you find a role where you can contribute the best.
