The topic for the talk is "Open Source Software Projects". Your talk can touch on...
- What the project is about
- How to get started using the product
- How to get started contributing to the project
You can start by looking at any of the Open Source Software Hosting services like GitHub, SourceForge or Google Code ( or look at this). Or you could just search for your favorite software and give a talk on it.
You are also welcome to talk on other Open Source topics. Do let us know in advance what you would like to talk on, if it's on a different topic.
The winner is chosen by voting by the audience.
The time for a speaker is 5 min with 2 min grace. If you use grace time, you'll be penalized in case of a tie.
Reply to this thread to give your topic and to give feedback and suggestions. Only one talk is allowed on a project.
