We are less than 50 days away from BAJA SAEINDIA 2014. So we hope that teams would have geared up to showcase their engineered buggies in the main event. This mail is to brief you about the Static event evaluation procedure which contains 300 marks for the event.   Event Marks Design Evaluation 200 Cost report 100     Total 300   Team are requested to submit following reports required for static evaluation: Reports Deadline A final design report along with spec sheet 10-01-2014 Cost report 10-01-2014   Please find attached following documents with the mail: Design Spec sheet, Design Report format, Design comparison document, SAE paper guide,  Slotting details car no. wise for design evaluation. Please note that it is mandatory for top 10 Teams to submit Design Comparison Documents. For other old Teams, it is optional.  For new Teams, it is not required. Marketing presentation is eliminated from this year. Design Evaluation Procedure:   ·         There are 10 to 12 design evaluation bays. ·         Max 7 Team members allowed.   ·         20 minutes to evaluate each car: 2 to 5 minutes for the overall presentation, followed by 15 to 18 minutes of one-on one (or two) discussion of the categories. For presentation, teams can bring bromides, standees, charts, banners, models, A3 size drawings, calculation sheets, PPT on Laptop, etc. ·         10 minute for Judges to discuss and arrive at the score. ·         Design Finalist will be selected from the score for all bays. The number of finalist will be around ten cars.
