Dear BAJA 2014 Teams and Faculty Advisors,

Greeting!!!!!

This season of BAJA SAEINDIA 2014 emphasizes more on a key thought - RAISE THE BAR. in order to achieve this target, we would like to extend our support to get the sport to a much more higher level.

We hope that your design and manufacturing of BAJA Vehicle is going as per plans. Also , we would like you to ensure that the deadlines being put up by the Convener are being adhered to.

With respect to your progress in the further stages of the event, BAJA OC has decided  to assist you in meeting the expectations of the BAJA SAEINDIA 2014 with the International Rulebook and high Quality standards , being kept in mind. Hence, group of teams have been assigned a member of the Alumni Committee to hear your concerns and have a constant follow-up of your progress. All the teams are request to contact your respective Alumni member ( Refer Attachment) and keep us updated about your progress.

The main purpose of the communication is :
  1.  Sensitizing the teams on deadlines, vehicle quality and a sort of regular follow up for getting it done.
  2. It serves as an alternate channel for communicating to the teams besides the website and other channels.
  3. Assessing any issue proactively and taking decisions well before the main event.
  4. Inducting the first time participating institutions and making them aware of BAJA SAEINDIA 2014,its theme and our expectations.

What the key Points to be NOTED ?
  1. The primary mode of interaction will be through the medium of telephone / mobile and E-mail. For that purpose , the details of the BAJA Alumni Member allotted to you are mentioned in the Attachment.

  2. RULEBOOK QUERIES / FAQ’s

    All the issues / queries / doubts / ambiguities regarding rulebook understanding have to be mailed to rulebook.b...@gmail.com for getting your doubts cleared. The lead time is 2-3 days, except for the major issues that may take a week’s time.

    NOTE : While writing to this Email ID please keep your BAJA Alumni (Respective Coordinator) Member in CC.

  3. Procurement of parts especially safety equipments – to be ensured that they are received by the teams in time.

  4. If there is proposal for deviations – you must write to rulebook.b...@gmail.com to get the clarity and produce the mail evidence at the event for justification.
    In case you haven't received SSC till dated then contact to your coordinator immediately.
  5. DESIGN REPORT / COST REPORT
    Submission of the Design and Cost report has to be made ONLINE. If unable to upload it , you may mail the same to your respective BAJA Alumni Member  as an alternative.

  6. 1st Time Participant :
    Please do not assume anything. Doubts , if any,Contact your alloted Alumni member and follow the guidelines mentioned to you from time to time. 

  7. Old Teams
    You are well aware of all the deadlines and that it has to be met at any cost. 

Make sure you meet the expectations and RAISE THE BAR.
