2. A Quick Look at OpenOffice.org Writer 3.0 Beta 2 -- Linux Journal, 7/28
James Gray detailed his first impression of OpenOffice.org 3.0 Writer's features. He noted that although the icons have been updated, the overall look and feel of OO.o is not radically different from its predecessor. James considers OO.o 3.0's ability to import Word 2007 documents is critical to its continued success and relevance. His conclusion: "Is OpenOffice.org Writer 3 worth the upgrade? Given Writer 3's new features, such as support for Microsoft Office 2007 documents, ODF 1.2 and PDF/A, as well as the ability to view multiple pages simultaneously, the answer is a certain yes."

3. OpenOffice.org -- Coding a living on the 60th parallel - OpenOffice.org, 7/28
The blogger was impressed with the latest version of OpenOffice.org, commenting: "The biggest change I've seen is in the opening speed. You no longer need to go off and get a cup of coffee whilst waiting for OO.o to start! Brilliant."
