One of the most interesting things about the US(or somehow Europe) tech culture is many people in the top engineering role(Architect, VP Eng. etc.) have a non engineering/science major in college. Hardly seen in India, in fact, lots of our engineering colleges even lack proper humanities courses. Just get reminded while watching "How to Overcome Cognitive Bias in Your Software Architecture" by Ian Varley(Principal Architect at Salesforce).
