Hi
I am Sridhar Nunavat done my B.tech in Biotechnology .My advice for
all aspirants is to boost up ur confidence
just try to talk as much as u can in English for the next couple of
weeks which will surely help u to talk confidently
in the GD/PI.
Before writing about my PI i would suggest you some tips. Try to
direct your interviewer to the things
where you are very confident for example if u r good at ur final year
project and the project has very good applications
try to direct ur interviewer to that project from "TELL ME ABOUT UR
SELF QUESTION".
Just try to put a smile on your face it shows your are not tensed
which would surely help u out.

My Interview:
when I entered the panel I saw six professors who are waiting for
me( shocked)
they asked me to sit down .........
Questions:Tell me about your self ( I was able to direct them to my
final Year project)
1)Tell Us about Your project?( I told the entire thing but left
applications since i want them to ask applications)
2)Tell us the applications?(chilled and answered confidently)
3)Is Ur project patented? ( Its in the process sir since we stopped
the project in the last stage due to lack of equipment my guide is
trying to tie up with IITS)
4)Which IIT? (IITK)
5)Who is the professor?

That was end of my project
6)Why do you want to pursue PGDIE?(I told them a lot but in short (i
want to direct them again) to set up an Industry taking my final year
as a base)
7)What are the basic things required for setting up an Industry?(i was
not expecting this question but was able to cover it up with the
knowledge i have)
8)Than why don't you go for MBA in Biotechnology?( Expected question )
9)Do you have any mathematics knowledge?(this question was a nuclear
bomb on me but by Gods grace i was saved they did not get into
details)
10)What are u expecting from NITE?(guys go through the web site you
will get good information modify a bit (don't copy the same :))
11)I think you are not fit for this course !!!( Disappointed but did
not give up brought back my Future goals of setting up Industry and
talked a bit )
12)Finally one mam asked me do u want to expand your horizons wit this
course?(with a smile i said yes)

that was the end.(approximately 20 to 25min)

All the very Best !!!

Hi all

The GD topics at NITIE are general which test an individual's overall
knowledge about relevant issues
I would suggest to be updated with the current issues. My GD group was
quite cooperative and I entered the discussion 4-5 times with some
good stuff!
GD is not an eliminating round at NITIE so I was straightaway sent to
interview panel which consisted of about 10 interviewers. They began
with my final year project and its practical utility and how do I
relate it to the course at NITIE
Other questions included why NITIE, What is Industrial Engineering,
infact everything I had written on CV and also the online application.
Overall the panel was friendly but it had people from all areas so I
was even asked as to why I chose a particular technology for my
project i.e the technical stuff also.So come prepared and Wish you all
the best

Lots Of Luck To The Aspirants,

Be Clear & Confident In what you do, Success will always come your
way.

I am Shoeb Rahman ,Electronics & Telecommunication grad from NIT
Raipur.

Group Discussion at NITIE has always been very decent. Please go
through each and every topics mentioned in this group as prior
knowledge will certainly add to your side. Regarding my GD, topic was
related to Poverty (a very basic topic) which led every mouth to
open. I entered in the GD at 3rd and spoke 2 points which was carried
by others, i listened to the rest of the GD except at the end when i
contradicted one fellows point which i did very politely. Once in GD i
also gave one guy a chance to speak, as he was struggling to get one.
The whole GD was about the team spirit, politeness and common sense.
Out of 10 , four of us were selected finally for PGDIE. GD is very
important for final selection dont try to dominate GD.

My Personal Interview was coolest, I have ever given, they check your
confidence level and till date what you have done mainly its relevance
in real life. Final year Project is very crucial and prepare well for
it. My interview went very cool, as they ask me about projects i have
done till date, and what was my role in them. Then a very basic
technical question from my branch. Strict check for clear thought to
join the course and knowledge about the Institute is done. Show your
interest for NITIE in the answers you gave. Before going for PI be
confident about what you are.

Best Of Luck.....

Hey Everybody!

Greetings from NITIE!!

I am Jasdeep, a student of PGDIE - 39
I am a fresher and a computer science grad

First thing one must remember is that GD is not an elimination round
Secondly, GD's are on very general topic

Try making the first move, if you have a good point, else just make 2 -3 entries in the discussion
Don't try and keep speaking all the time, it doesn't help
Be polite, give others a chance to speak as well
My topic was "Is Ahinsa the way to combat terrorism"?

People kept general points, each one was given a min to conclude
There's a difference between conclude and summarize
Plz do understand the difference as it will help you gain advantage

PI was pretty easy,
They asked me about myself
Asked me WHY PGDIE
How did i come to know about NITIE
Why am i not interested in joining IIT's when i have a good rank
Did i appear for CAT

(In all you have to convince them that you are very well aware of PGDIE and its your rational decision)

Then they asked me what else except for Academics
My final project (Please be good at a few subjects, they might ask your fav subjects and a few questions may be directed at them, they will be basic, and to test your fundamentals about the subject you like)
also be clear of the role you played in the final project

Thats  it
It was pretty cool

Just be confident, answer fluently, and convince them
They're looking for guys who have a good aptitude
And good communication skills

Being fluent in English and confidently answering really helps
The length of interview may vary from 10-40 mins depending on panel

Overall, just come prepared with basics, latest events, lots of confidence and smile

Wish you all the best

In case of specific doubts, feel free to revert back
Thanks
