query about the PGDIE COURSE at NITIE

HELO SIR,
I want to ask that how the PGDIE course is different from an MBA?On
the official website of NITIE it is mentioned that PGDIE focuses on
marketing,SCM,IT and SYSTEMS,Finance,HR management etc.
Also i want to know that how i can correlate my branch
"INSTRUMENTATION ENGG" with the PGDIE course as the interviewers will
certainly ask this question.

In MBA u will be confined to a specific domain like HR, finance, marketing or combination of both ..
PGDIE is unique in its origin, it provides cross functional managerial skills in the domains mentioned by u..
It provides a platform to transform first class engineers to Cross functional managers..

In PI, explain about managerial things that u have done in ur college, u can explain about the managerial things u have done in ur final yr project of ur branch and other activities u have done in ur branch..Ur aim and so on..

Hello sir,
I have send the photo copy of gate score from net. Now I have received
the original gate score card so do i need to send the photo state of
original again or will it be fine just to carry the original gate
score card at the time of pi/gd as it is mentioned,

How PGDIE is different from B.Tech in INDUSTRIAL ENGG?industrial engg
also covers the same concepts, then in PGDIE upto how much extent it
is different?

IE in B.Tech focuses completely on technical aspects but if you look at the course curriculum of PGDIE, it is a techno-managerial course by which you can apply your technical knowledge in managerial field.

I have following diff queries

1. I have applied for PGDIE course.I have sent the printout with other doc too. but still the status not changed yet it still showing we didnt receive form yet....does it take time to update the online status?
2.  how anyone will be informed if he got selected for gd/pi round? by mail or by post also?
3. I have done polymer engineering I got 64 percentage. polymer engineering is the sub branch of chemical engineering which focus on plastic , rubber and composites processing, research, and application. I got 64 percentage in BE actually in pune university the scoring is so tight hardly people get above 70. my 12th score is 70.83 and 10th is 79.06. I did 6 months project assistantship in National chemical laboratory pune which is R&D lab of india. and now from last one month im working in cognizant as programmer analyst which completely diff from my UG course.  I have qualified in gate 2011 in engineering science stream (with subjects mathematics, polymer science and material science)           my gate score is 414,  AIR is 169 and out of 100 score is 37, percentile 92.67 , total no of student appeared in this subject are 2275 thts why my percentage is low comparitively. so what are my chances to get a call for GD/PI
4. how to relate my field which basically manufacturing or production of plastic goods (like plastic parts in automobile, light weight bt heigh strength polymer composites, rubber products) with PGDIE.
5. does PGDIE course helps in business startup?

3.which category do u belong to?
4. try to explain ur proj in relation to management..
5.PGDIE as a curriculum wont support u for business start up, but NITIE has entrepreneur cell through u can gain knowledge.. It depends upon the individual..

prepare well for GD+pI.. Don't waste ur time in asking queries related to the chance to get the call... Go through the previous threads to get the answer for that.. If queries related to online application or any other thing, suggestions will be provided..

hello all seniors,
While going through one of the websites i came
to know that
- pgdie is not the mba but is a m.tech course(aicte).
- Acc. to few personalities it is not actually
the placement of pgdie but mainly is of pgdim that have raised the
figures of placement.
- N few more doubts ....
Seniors these two years are very crucial n will definately decide our
career, please solve all these doubts. I also request you to please go
