Aloha All,
This approaching Weds night is a full moon. How about a little
diversity? Interested runners meet (same time, 6pm), at base of
Gibraltar road, where it starts off from Mountain Drive. I figure we
could run about 3 miles up to where one of the RUTE handoffs takes
place at the gun club, n back. A good time for those of us preparing
for RUTE or wanting some hill work or just wanting something
different. Headlamps and bright clothing are recommended. We will
observe the "10 minute" rule, heading up at 610pm.
If someone wants to throw out a restaurant in advance so beach and
mountain takers alike can converge, go for it.
And, Happy Valentine's Day.
XOXO Andrea

Wonderful idea just hope it does not rain that night and hide the full moon!

Yes, we do indeed have good chances of rain Wednesday night. In years past, have traditionally gotten very lucky with the weather patterns. May run even if raining. Mr. Groom is going to make final call for us all Wednesday and send out an email. Those first three miles of Gibraltar are really clean and great now. Andrea

Sounds like fun.  I'm still biking everywhere this week, so this will be easier for me to get to.  Brick run!

Sorry to be the nervous nelly……but running in the dark, in the rain, on the side of a narrow windy road seems like a bad idea.

Ah, the voice of reason.  Well, if you put it that way, it doesn't sound like a great group run (although I'd do it solo in a heartbeat).  Day of, we'll certainly know if it's raining...

OK, so where is it going to be? Have we got a quorum on location or is everyone going on his/her own way. I can do either the mountain run or the regular beach run. We probably need to do some hill climbing, but as Sterling warned, the inclement weather with the still dark evening may be somewhat dangerous. But, what the hell, what's a little danger. Will do either, so let me know. I'm running rain or shine.(moon light shine that is).

YES! We are on. Andrea asked me to make the call depending on the weather,
and as I look out of my window, I see blue sky and sunshine.

So the Gibraltar option will be a 3 mile run up Gibraltar. That takes us to
about the 'No Shooting' sign, and a 3 mile run back down. We will meet at
the corner of Mountain Dr and Gibraltar at 6.00pm, off at 6.10pm...no
later!!
If you want to run the same route as normal, then meet at the Shoreline
bathrooms for the usual 6.10pm start.

The weather is unreliable so if you are doing the hill climb make sure you
wear white, or very light clothing and carry a good flashlight. It may get
cloudy and we may loose the moonlight. Just want to make sure we stay safe.

After our run we can text or call ( what a concept ) about dinner plans.

Dress warm no matter what you are running.

Ok, where is the closest exit for the shoot to Mountain drive from 101, and left or right on Mtn. Dr.?

The moon mountain run was a spectacular high! Thank you Groovers!
Without your presence I would not get to do it!

Good timing too. Just look out the window now... Hope all Groovers are safe and warm!

Here's a proposal for Groove activity next (not this) weekend: Roller Derby!
