Lately I have been designing a dragon encounter for a savvy blue dragon. Because my world is low-medium magic and I like sensible telegraphed hazards and terrain elements I wanted to put in as many as a paranoic ancient dragon would. I know this post encroaches on u/Dracomortua 's "Dragon's lair is its castle" but this is much more focused.
well fed dragon can recharge it breath in 3 rounds on average, if it will clean its glands regularly it can accumulate LOTS of liquid dragon breath. Sell it or store it. Fill traps with it. Fill entire rooms.
So i have a dragon lair, an option to raise dragons, and several baby dragons raised from wyrms in the alchemist lair- but I can't figure out how to get the dragons out of my inventory into the lair.
If using henchmen/heroes, avoid melee characters since they tend to die very fast under the effects of Jagged Crystal Skin. Ranged attacks put less stress on your healers. Flag the non-melee away from the dragon to avoid Jagged Crystal Skin.
I thought this would be really sweet because of the amber but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't. It really does conjure up thoughts of a dragons lair. I didn't pick up much smoke and what I assume is Mountain mist is the predominant scent to my nose. Good throw with the wax melts. Overall a nice unique scent I've added to my long list of favorites.
They were believed to have healing powers and one story goes that in the summer of 1421, a massive dragon flew to Pilatus, but he crashed and fell on to the ground near the farmer Stempflin. The dragon gave the farmer such a shock that he fainted. When he came to, he found a lump of clotted blood and the Dragon Stone. The Dragon Stone is said to have healing powers, and can still be found at the Natur-Museum in Lucerne.
We were able to walk inside the Dragon Trail, which is believed to be home to the dragons of Pilatus. Inside, we had beautiful views of the mountains. The aerial cableway could also be seen.
