Mass Satyagraha at PMG in support of Anna Hazare’s Hunger Strike for
Jan Lokpal Bill
Dear friends
We all are aware that Anna Hazare, the great Gandhian and Social
Activist is going to start his Hunger Strike putting pressure on
Govt. to accept Jan Lokpal Bill prepared by his team. While
addressing a number of public meetings, Anna has sought support of
all the Civil Society Groups in his fight against corruption in
the country. Needless to mention here that last time when Anna
Hazare had held Satyagrha at Jantara Mantar in New Delhi, we the
Civil Society groups had organized similar kind of Styagarha Dharana
at lower PMG , Bhubaneswar extending our full-fledged support and
cooperation to him.
As Corruption has affected every field of administration
including judicialry, the country urgently requires a robust
Grievance Redressal Authority i.e., Lokpal with all powers to
investigate into any complaints and punish any person found guilty.
As we see, the Govt. draft Lokpal Bill which has been introduced in
the parliament has made Lokpal a toothless body.
In this context, I request all of you including students, teachers,
lawyers, activists to join in day-long Satyagraha which will start
at lower PMG from 16th August, 2011 at 10.30 AM.
