Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."- Nelson Mandela

Dear Friends,

As the above quotation rightly mentions the power of education but sadly in the present times it is found that there is a  real crunch in the teaching professionals especially Mass Communication is concern. Most of the communication students prefer to build their career in the industry rather than in the academic sector. The reason may be the payment structure and also the time, effort and qualifications and constant preparation of subject knowledge required for this responsible job .

But as an Academician I must say that students should take up this, as one of the equally challenging and promising as well as well paid career option where one can find enough time to devote to one's family as well as find out many other alternative ways of earning while teaching, engaging one self in research, documentation , guest lectures, workshops and other academic related activities.

I hope students of communication will contemplate on this matter and look at academics as one the career option for the mutual sustenance of both the discipline of Mass Communication as a subject and  teaching as a profession

Its the quality education that is dependent on quality teachers that decides the future of any discipline.

Thanks and Regards,
