The CES Honor Code helps to accomplish the CES mission to build disciples of Jesus Christ. As faculty, administration, staff, and students voluntarily commit to conduct their lives in accordance with the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, they strive to maintain the highest standards in their personal conduct regarding honor, integrity, morality, and consideration of others. By accepting appointment, continuing in employment, being admitted, or continuing enrollment, each member of the campus communities personally commits to observe the CES Honor Code approved by the Board of Trustees:

At Princeton, all in-class examinations, including finals, midterms, and quizzes, are administered under the Honor Code. Students pledge their honor that they have not attempted to give or receive an unfair advantage during examinations. In exchange, faculty proctors are not present in examination rooms. Additionally, students pledge a responsibility to report all suspected violations of the Code to the Committee. The duality of obligations emphasizes the importance of student to student accountability, a foundational value of the Honor system.

Today, the responsibility for maintaining the Honor Code continues to rest on every student. If a student notices another student engaged in dishonorable conduct, the student is expected to bring his or her concerns to the President of the Honor Code Council, a faculty member, or the Dean of Students.

Having read the Georgia Institute of Technology Academic Honor code, I understand and accept my responsibility as a member of the Georgia Tech community to uphold the Honor Code at all times. In addition, I understand my options for reporting honor violations as detailed in the code.

Section 3. Student Honor Advisory Council
Students composing the Student Honor Advisory Council are to become well versed in all aspects of the Georgia Institute of Technology Academic Honor Code and the procedures for reporting an honor violation as well as those procedures for the trying of cases of suspected academic misconduct before the Student Honor Committee. The Council is to act as an information resource to all members of the Georgia Tech community on issues related to the Academic Honor Code.

Any Columbia Business School community member may report a breach of the honor code or academic misconduct. OSA and Student Conduct and Community Standard adjudicate concerns regarding academic misconduct through the Dean's Discipline Process.

The purpose of the Honor Code is to enhance awareness of the need for the highest possible levels of integrity and respect on campus, both within and outside the academic context. We hope and believe that the code will catalyze a series of ongoing conversations about our principles and practices. Together, through engagement, we can create a consistent message and ethos in our classrooms, labs, departments, and throughout the academic enterprise, to ensure that the core values of academic integrity and honesty are being embraced by both students and faculty.

Of all the Army values, honor is the one that embodies all the others. Honor is a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity and personal courage in everything you do, according to the Army.

We feel honor while listening to our National Anthem or watching the posting of the colors. We show honor by recognizing the outstanding contributions made by other Soldiers and civilians. We give honor to the flag and to the ideals it represents and the symbolism it lends to the greatness of our nation.

"I, like so many others, have honored the flag and our country with military service and by continued service to service members as a civilian," said Samuel Cunningham, a retired Marine gunnery sergeant and, currently, chief of Internal Review and Audit Compliance at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. "I honor my organization, my co-workers, and especially the Warfighter by doing my job in a way that will always benefit them."

We demonstrate honor by doing the honorable thing even when no one is around to witness it and striving to do the right thing at all times. In doing so, a solid reputation is built making it easier for the people around you to trust you.

"Without honor, you cannot count on someone to do the right thing unless you are watching them all the time, and that is impossible to do," said Kevin Fleischmann, continuous process improvement/lean six sigma advisor at Redstone Test Center in Huntsville, Ala. "Honor to me means doing the right thing to represent yourself, your family, and your company."

When you are viewed as honorable, people trust the information you are providing and the actions you are taking. Honor helps define who you are as a person while serving as a guiding light for your growth and character.

Honor is critical to the success of an organization and is an important ingredient in enhancing mission accomplishment. When you come to work focused on the mission and the betterment of all those you work with and serve, you are demonstrating and exemplifying honor.

"Every day I awake, whether I am in uniform or civilian clothing, my actions and the way I present myself within the military or civilian community are always focused and centered on my duty and obligation to bring honor to our Profession of Arms," said Command Sgt. Maj. Keith West, command sergeant major for YPG.

While the Undergraduate Honor Council is comprised of approximately 90 members representing all four undergraduate schools, each graduate and professional school houses its own graduate and/or professional student honor council. Each of these councils is responsible for adjudicating matters of academic dishonesty reported within their school or college.

Students, faculty and staff should report suspected Honor Code violations involving undergraduate students by using the Honor Code Incident Reporting Form. Incidents involving graduate and professional students should be reported to the respective honor council. Contact information for each of the graduate and professional honor councils is available here.

Vanderbilt University students pursue all academic endeavors with integrity. They conduct themselves honorably, professionally, and respectfully in all realms of their studies in order to promote and secure an atmosphere of dignity and trust. The keystone of our honor system is self regulation, which requires cooperation and support from each member of the University community.
