Required name of coding system in CWE DT

Hi,

GVT raises an error when the name of coding system (CWE-3) is not filled in : 

I use HL7 version 2.6 and the name of coding system field is optional in this version :

This field seems to be required when CWE-1 is filled but but only from HL7 version 2.7.

Is that categorized as an error ? I’ll have a look, maybe this should be an alert or warning.

 

The behind reason is that our validator will check that the code (from CWE.1) comes from the code system in CWE.3.

Since CWE.3 is optional in your case, and not populated in your message, the validator cannot check if the coding system is correct.
