To all Unit Leaders, Assistant Unit Leaders, Unit Committee Members and District Leaders,

This is from Larry Furrer, Quapaw Council Commissioner -

1.The Quapaw sponsored Wood Badge is filling up fast. We have 42 registered now and I have been told that 2 are turning in paperwork tomorrow.  That would leave 4 openings and then a waiting list would be taken until the night before the course when final contacts would be made. If you are interested I suggest that you get your paperwork and deposit in as soon as possible.  Go to quapawbsa.org for more information.

2.The Philmont site is Quapaw Council 2012 Philmont Trek on Facebook.  We can take as many as 24.  We have added two adults so we have 13 youth and 8 adults right now. We can take more adults but obviously would prefer to fill out at least a couple of  the slots with youth. That's only three positions left!  We have already had our first meeting and our first hike will probably be February 24th.

3.Jamboree is on the way and the positions are almost full up.  Check out that and more on quapawbsa.org or scouting.org or bsajamboree.org.

Go to the forms section on quapawbsa.org to find forms to fill out on these and other events.

Call Larry Furrer at 501-791-4939 cell ,  Office is 501-224-8360 or home is 501-821-4746 if you have any questions.

I personally can attest to Quapaw's great Woodbadge course.  They do a bang up job.  You learn much and meet many leaders from all over Arkansas and elsewhere who, often times, have the same problems and successes that you have.  Fellowship and friendships that grow.  You will have fun too!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you all for your dedication to these boys.  You are helping create tomorrow's leaders; and we, our communities and our country will be the better for it.

Sincerely,

David Elmore
District Vice Chairman
Nischa Sipo District
Quapaw Area Council
