To all,
Tonight is a big night. The Nischa Sipo District Committee meeting will be held at 6 pm and the Roundtable at 7pm at Benton First United Methodist Church, 200 North Market St., across the street from the county courthouse in the Fellowship Hall. Also, the Order of the Arrow chapter's meetings will be held there tonight. So lots of Scouting on tap. This month's Boy Scout Roundtable theme is CAMPING. We will have a knot tying demonstration and, perhaps, a Knot-Off for fun. Dr. Gillespie will talk about planning a healthy and nutritious meal plans for camping. Al Susoeff will talk about what the Guide to Safe Scouting says pertaining to camping and two new Scouting related smart phone apps he has created.
Parker and Diana will hold the Cub Scout Roundtable and present their theme for the month.
I believe the Order of the Arrow chapters will be discussing and planning their activities for the upcoming Section Conclave at Gus Blass Scout Reservation at the end of the month.
Don't forget, this Saturday on Lake Degray will be Family Fun Day. I bet Parker and Diana still need some Scouts and Scouters to help out. It will be a day of fun activities. I look forward to seeing you there.
As always everyone is welcome to attend these meetings, participate and assist in the planning of our district events. Come for fun, fellowship and information. We have many events and activities scheduled this year. So come and find out what, when and where.
