Name of Post: Principal Scientist (Landscape Ecology)

Pay Scale: Rs 37400 – 67000 + GP 8700/-
Qualifications:
i) PhD in any branches of Life / Environmental Sciences, based on work in plant or vertebrate field ecology
ii) 15 years research experience in the study of ecology of individual species especially indicator and endangered species, interpretation of satellite imagery and GIS, rapid assessment of habitats, vegetation mapping, in the latest techniques of the field
iii) Desirable: Experience in leading a multidisciplinary research team and research projects, peer reviewed publications, statistical analysis of ecological data, development of databases and web-based programs, guiding research leading to M Phil/ PhD, and conducting training or regular courses
Age: 45 years
