Centre for People’s Forestry, a National NGO, is working for
the rights and livelihoods security of the forest dwelling and dependent
communities with due regard to conservation. CPF is headquartered in
Secunderabad and is on the lookout for suitable candidates for position of
Senior Programme Officer, to lead and develop projects related to forestry and
research.
Major Responsibilities:
• Spearhead implementation of assigned projects
• Monitor projects, prepare reports and communicate to donors as appropriate
• Provide support for advocacy campaigns
• Coordinate works related to climate change, REDD+ and Implementation of
Forest Rights Act (FRA)
• Assist the Director in coordinating works related to policy advocacy and in
preparing policy briefing papers
• Develop proposals and take lead in fund raising for the same
• Coordinate Action Research and Advocacy team
Skills Required:
• Conversant with FRA Implementation and REDD Discourse
• Excellent skills in action research, advocacy and project monitoring
• Excellent coordination and facilitation skills
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Willingness to Travel
Desired candidate profile:
Post graduate in Forestry/Social Sciences with at least five years experience
in Research and Advocacy related to forestry and fair knowledge of NGO sector
