Notonly do I still have this piece, I still remember first seeing this ad AND seeing this come into the TRU when I was working there! I love this piece even though it was pretty tiny it still has a soft spot in my heart! Love this pewter statue!
As usual, these are items I have come across in my travels that I decided not to purchase. As much as I would love to buy every Hulk item, these days, I am being a lot more selective about when gets added to the collection. I love the little backpack (above) but not for an astounding $70.
The Hulk displayed some of his most monstrous tendencies at the start of this issue. From his nonchalance over eating the heart of the dinosaur he helped kill to feed the Locot Tribe to his enthusiasm in getting involved in the battle against the Nowek tribe. To this day, nothing makes me laugh louder than the moment that The Hulk realizes that his constant battle buddy, Wolverine, brought bone claws to a fight.
Re-reading some of these classic issues really bring me back to a better and exciting time of comic reading. I tell you, the amazing artwork and fun story was just as good as it was back when it was released.
Volume 8 was published in 2011, leaving issues #397-467 languishing on the single-issue stands. And, for a while, it was probably believed that his run would not be given a full collection. Happily, when the Epic Collection imprint released their first Hulk volume in 2015, they continued from where the Visionaries left off at Issue #397.
Marvel Masterworks editions are high quality, full color reproductions of original issues. The volumes were originally released as hardcovers, with many now out of print. Some of the earlier editions were also released in paperback. If you decide to buy hardcovers, the newest editions are from 2003 and, with silver dustjackets.
Mighty Marvel Masterworks are digest-sized collections of sequential Silver and Bronze Age material. They do not line up with the volume breaks in the original Masterworks volumes. This is a separate reprint line with a similar name.
Peter David took over writing duties at #331 after a single-issue stint on #328. He would go on to quietly pilot one of the longest single-writer runs on a modern Marvel comic book outside of Claremont on X-Men and later Bendis on Avengers. He wrote all but the last six issues of this volume.
This run introduces the Red Hulk and is split into two halves. Part one, which co-stars Bruce Banner, covers the first six volumes of originally released collections (#1-24) and is written by Jeph Loeb. Part two primarily stars the Red Hulk and is written by Jeff Parker.
I just spotted this site showing every cover from every Hulk appearance ever!
So, i guess if you adjust your zoom feature a little bit and patiently browse through all the covers, you might get lucky!
Good luck!

A new week means a new post for Collector of the Week here at The Art of Fatherhood. As a fellow geek and collector of all things Pop Culture I wanted to showcase some cool collections that dads share in our community. We love to see this passion in what people collect. In addition, we talk about the latest movies, sports memorabilia, an Incredible Hulk Comic Book collection and video games that we are enjoying at the moment.
Even before the MCU brought us the latest version of the Hulk in the movies, I was a fan of that comic book character. I really enjoyed the stories of Bruce Banner and his inner battle balancing the Hulk and himself. No matter the color of the Hulk, I thought the writers did a great job with bringing this character to life and for us to care about a menacing behemoth. This is just part of my collection that I am sharing, but wanted to show you a few old ones to show how long I have been a Hulk fan.
It can be comic books, bottle caps, records, helmets or whatever you are into! I want to see what your passion is and why you started up that collection. For me, I believe that in each collection lies a better story. I want to share your story! Feel free to reach out to me and share your collection. In addition, if you enjoyed this post check out another Collector of the Week article.
One might not like him when he's angry, but fans have still found a lot to like about the MCU's Hulk. Portrayed via motion-capture performance by Mark Ruffalo, the actor has seen the character through various transformations.
In the original Avengers and Age of Ultron, the Hulk was basically a furious, uncontrollable brute. It wasn't until 2017's Thor: Ragnarok that the character gained more of a personality along with the ability to speak in more than a couple of words at a time. Bruce Banner will next appear in Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, serving as a mentor of sorts to the title character, aka, Jennifer Walters.
When fans log into Disney+ they may notice a new collection, a group of different pieces of MCU content unified under a single theme: The Hulk. Indeed, the streaming platform has given focus to all of Bruce Banner/Hulk's appearances on the platform, organized neatly into a single screen.
Due to Universal owning the distribution rights for The Incredible Hulk from 2008, that film still isn't available to stream on Disney+. However, the movie has, in fact, been popping up on the platform in some international markets, so maybe it won't be long until it gets added to the North American library. After all, it's easy to imagine that one of Disney's goals is to put the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe under one virtual roof.
