Wipro Foundation is a public charitable trust set up for corporate citizenship and CSR activities of Wipro. It collaborates with people and organizations across the world, across broad areas of education, ecology and community care.
Our Education Program was started in 2001, with the belief that a strong and vibrant ecosystem of grass-root Civil Society Organizations is critical to the improvement of the education-system. The program works closely with educational CSOs to build deeper capacities to work for school education reform in a long-term and sustained manner. It currently supports 140+ educational organizations through funding, capacity building and networking opportunities, and is one of the largest and most diverse networks of Educational CSOs in the world.
We are looking for a Candidate with:
Educational Qualification: Degree in Education (or similar) with a strong focus on Early Literacy and/or Early Numeracy
Years of Work Experience: 8+ years (with at least 5 years in Education)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Outreach and Due Diligence:
a. Enhancing outreach & awareness about Wipro Foundation’s Education programs, especially in non-urban & under-represented regions
b. Contributing to the selection process of new partner-organizations and Fellows and supporting applicants during the shortlisting phase
2. Program Management and Capacity Enhancement of Partners
a. Managing partnerships effectively and with sensitivity through field visits, calls etc.
b. Understanding/analysing partners’ capacity enhancement needs
b. Helping organizations become effective in their chosen domain of work – esp. in early literacy and/or numeracy, by direct engagement; as well as in collaboration with other Resource Organizations
c. Help organize events such as Annual Partners’ Forum, Thematic meets, workshops/trainings etc.
3. Knowledge Management & Documentation
a. Effectively documenting information, outcomes & learning pertaining to the program; including field visits, proceedings of meets/conferences, videos, reports etc.
b. Contributing to the design, development and implementation of a knowledge management framework
4. Liaising with others:
a. Facilitate strategic tie-ups and partnerships with other orgs/agencies to further the program agenda.
b. Identify and liaise with internal and external stakeholders/vendors as needed
5. Other Skills/Experience:
a. Excellent English language skills; ability to read/converse in Hindi and/or any of the South Indian languages preferred
b. Experience of designing/developing or managing online courses and/or learning communities would be an added advantage
c. Previous experience of working in a corporate set-up/CSR team/philanthropic foundations preferred
