CAREER SAATHI PROGRAM -SELECTION CONFERENCE- SEASON 2
A selective student support program for the meritorious students but economically weak in assisting, mentoring and tracking them till successful employment .
The selection conference was held on May 1st 2016, with the overwhelming participation of 113 aspirants their concerned parents and enthusiastic volunteers of various MNC like Excers, ADP, Verizon,IBM and other NGOs.

CAREER SAATHI PROGRAM RESIDENTIAL CAMP
Career Saathi Program hosted its 4 days residential camp for its mentees from 14th till 17th of May,2016. Children are taught and trained on many values from professional trainers in Hyderabad .Inspiring personalities like Shri Gunaranjan, Founder and Director of YouSee and Shri Shravan, ILP graced the occasion.

PROJECT INSPIRE with Nvidia
"Project Inspire-Governement School Renovation" This program aim was to rejuvenate the school from unstructured format , by painting the walls, fixing the fissures, planting new black boards- setting as a surprise to welcome the students this academic year. Huge number of 70 volunteers took part in the inspiring program.

REACHED 3,00,000+ CALLS THROUGH TELE_COUNSELING
VHL has crossed 3,00,000+ calls through tele- counselling and it received calls from various districts across Telangana. Through Tele-counselling it has provided various services that included career guidance, personal counselling and informed regarding various opportunities like Entrance exam notifications, Scholarships, procedure involved in counselling and many to the students.

Toll free Tele-counselling: A toll-free service, where career info and guidance is provided to students and drop outs over a phone.
In the month of April and May, 25,623 call queries on education and career prospects from rural students and drop outs have been resolved.

Career Counselling Workshops: These are our outreach programs, where we reach out to the students of SSC grade and expose them to various career opportunities and assist them in their career decisions thereby making them dream BIG!
In the month of April & May, we organised 11 Career Workshops assisting 2,029 students.

Messaging Outreach: This is a tech- tinge outreach program, where we use Voice and Text messaging to update our beneficiaries about any latest career / academic information like scholarships, admission dates etc.
The Voice messaging service is exclusively to cater to the career needs of the visually handicapped, as their sources of info are very limited.
In the month of May, 21,496 voice and text messages have been shot out.

Personalised Counselling : A program where the beneficiaries themselves reach out to the Vidya HelpLine centre for personal counselling on academic and career prospects. In the month of April & May, 117 students have been personally counselled. |

My Story: I am Sailaja from Nalgonda. I am interested to do higher studies but due to financial issues, I gave up studying after my Intermediate and later I got married. I thought I could not continue further studies but ,when I came to know about VHL toll free number from one of my relatives, then a small hope raised in my mind. Then I called VHL with curiosity, counselors suggested me about distance education and I applied for the notification according to their suggestions. Finally with VHL's huge support, I joined in KU Triveni Degree College .I am very thankful to VHL team for helping me out. VHL has become the only source for my graduation. I feel lucky to seek VHL services. I have to travel for 10 km long to reach the net facilities. VHL even benefited me in monetary basis by saving my travelling and net charges (50 rs each time).
