Nirmaan Organizational announcement - New Governing Board

Dear Nirmaanites,

Happy Independence Day!!! 

I am sharing this communication on behalf of current Nirmaan Governing board, Vijaya, Mayur, Naresh, Nagesh, Akash and myself. We have been serving in the current roles from about past four and half years and have received very good support. We thank you all very much for all the support. 

Considering the growing needs of the organization, we have been working on the formation, suited to current context, of new Governing board from the last 3 to 4 months and delighted to share on this important day. For the first time in our Governing board, we have a mix of core Nirmaan members and senior members who have been supporting Nirmaan in various ways.

The new Governing board is Mayur Patnala, Abdul Waheed Ji, Venkat Tankasala Ji, Gopi Vudaru Ji, Nagesh Palla, Vikram Vangari, Abhishek Vaddadi, Aruna Patapati. This team lead of this new governing board is Mayur. 

Please join me in congratulating and wishing them all the very best. Lets also commit to provide our continued support to the new board. 

The members of the current Governing board who are not part of New GB would be serving Nirmaan in the role of Nirmaan Internal Advisory board. 

Below is a brief note of our GB members. 

Waheed Sir, Venkat ji and Gopi Ji have been supporting various initiatives in several ways. 

1. Abdul Waheed Sir

Sri Abdul Waheed Sir, Retired IFS, Former Commissioner, Minorities Welfare Department, Government of (Combined) Andhra Pradesh. He served as an honest civil servant through out his career. His passions being wild life conservation and development of underprivileged communities.

2. Venkat Ji

Sri Venkat Tankasala, Associate Vice President, Synchrony Financial, CSR Lead at Synchrony and HYSEA Forum. He is known for his unique and high impact CSR initiatives like Skill Development for Chenchalguda Prison women inmates, supporting with soft skills training for Hyderabad City Police (people friendly policing initiative) etc.,

3. Gopi Vudaru Ji

Sri Gopi Vudaru, Principle Consultant, TEKSystems, USA and Board Member of For Better Tomorrow. As a part of For Better Tomorrow and Nirmaan Organization's cross pollination of boards, Gopi Vudaru is nominated on Nirmaan's Governing Board. Gopi is a good human being and comes with a prolonged volunteering experience in social projects. 

Below are the members from Nirmaan who worked on various projects and would be serving at Governing board now 

4. Mayur Patnala - needs no introduction about him for most of us, our co-founder and CEO. Graduated from BITS Pilani, worked for IBM for 5+ years and Government of AP for 2 years and now serving full time for Nirmaan from the last 2.5 years. He has been serving Nirmaan at various roles depending on the need of the organization, continuously from the last 12+ years initiating & driving several projects in this long journey. 

5. Nagesh Palla - started as volunteer in Operation Sahaya project of Nirmaan, Nagesh is one of the first full time members for Nirmaan with 8+ years of full time service in Nirmaan, he is serving full time as the COO of Vidya HelpLine project and also as the treasurer of previous board. 

6. Vikram Vangari - A graduate from IIT Gauhati, and a software professional with about 10 years of experience. He has been serving Nirmaan at various levels and majorly as the executive committee member of Vidya HelpLine project. 

7. Abhishek Vaddadi - A graduate from BITS Pilani, part of Nirmaan since his college days, worked on several projects. He also worked full time in Nirmaan for about 2 years. He is currently pusuring MBA from Indian School of Business. 

8. Aruna Patapati - an MBA professional from a Global university, have a corporate experience for a brief period, has about 6.5 years of full time grass root experience working with various NGOs. She is part of various networks & forums such as Freedom Writers. She has been serving Nirmaan full time from the last 5 years driving the School Adoption & Vocational training programs. 

We heartily welcome the new Board members and look forward for a sustained and much bigger impact to our country through Nirmaan.

Dear All,

Happy Independence day to everyone! We witnessed 70 years of Independence completion yesterday! Our youth, this generation, has the opportunity to witness the 100 years of Independence as well. Next 30 years, lets all work hard to make our country a developed nation!

May Nirmaan's movement play a crucial role in this nation building! Lets all work relentlessly towards this goal!
