Greetings from Nirmaan Organization!!! 

A great opportunity to interact with 200 bright students from humble backgrounds who have just finished their 10th grade. We invite you to volunteer for the one day selection conference of "Career Saathi Program". This one day is surely going to make a difference to a student by getting the support for next 6 years and most importantly a fantastic career Ahead. 

About Nirmaan

Nirmaan Organization is a registered NGO, initiated by students of BITS Pilani in 2005 and works in the areas of Education, Livelihoods and Social Leadership. Vidya Helpline (VHL) is one of the flagship projects of Nirmaan started in 2010 with a focus on career guidance to economically backward students and dropouts, especially from rural areas.  The project has assisted over 3,00,000 students and dropouts. 

Nirmaan Vidya HelpLine invites the passionate volunteers from for a one-day Selection conference, organized for students from rural backgrounds, to select exceptionally bright & deserving students from them and make them part of an intensive program called "Career Saathi Program"

About Career Saathi Program (CSP)

       

              CSP is one of the 3 major projects of the Vidya Helpline which is a selective student program providing focused and sustained support for 3 to 6 years to meritorious students hailing from socioeconomically weak backgrounds ultimately leading to employment. Every year we select 30 students for this program and now we have 3cohorts with 90 students supported through mentoring, capacity building camps and other programs. Interested donors could contribute Rs.20,000/- for a student to make him/her reach their goal.

About Selection Conference 

200+ students from various parts of Telangana and AP would be coming out of which 50 would be selected. 

As a part of selection conference we conduct SOP (State of purpose writing) round, Group Discussions and Interview rounds. The volunteers would score the students based on their performances and the top 50 would be selected. 

Role of a Volunteer

• Organizing SOPs, group discussions and interviews.
  
• Evaluating the students performance to give them the scoring in SOP's, group discussions and interviews(based on the parameters given in orientation by VHL
• Coordinating along with the VHL team at - Registration desks, monitoring the students. 

Basic skills required for volunteering:

• Basic skills in judging the requirement, genuineness and performance of a student.
  
• Emotionally balanced to evaluate the performance of a student.
• Highly committed and enthusiastic to volunteer. As vol need to be there for entire day
• Well Versed in Telugu language would be an added advantage.

At the end of the Selection conference, we are sure the volunteers will take back enriching memories of the students and could be one your most memorable days.
